For its $1.8M pre-seed funding round, REasy wanted to raise awareness of its business model and regional ambitions. ARMD prepared the messages around the transaction and coordinated their distribution to French- and English-language media.
Still relatively unknown outside Cameroon, REasy needed to establish its presence in a highly competitive business and technology news environment. The company needed to explain its activities, its customers’ needs and its development plans.
Newsrooms had 72 hours under embargo to review the story and prepare their coverage.
The three challenges
ARMD presented REasy’s business model, the needs the fintech addresses and its development plans. This helped journalists understand the company’s activities and the role of the financing.
ARMD identified more than 40 priority media outlets and tailored the angles to business, technology and African-market newsrooms.
ARMD organised distribution in French and English within the 72-hour window and negotiated an exclusive television interview with CNBC Africa.

The 115 million figure is the sum of the monthly audiences of the outlets that published coverage of REasy. The same person may be counted in the audience of several outlets. This figure therefore does not measure how many people read the articles about REasy.
REasy is a Cameroonian fintech supporting businesses, particularly importing SMEs, with international payments. Its platform lets them pay overseas suppliers and manage shipments in a single application. It addresses the needs of businesses trading between Africa and their supplier markets.
